Who we are - Alexanders House
Alexanders House is a private residential children’s home located in Sunderland offering three places to male and female children and young people aged between 8 to 15 years of age on admission with emotional and behavioural disorders. We are officially a 'GOOD' home rated by Ofsted in our inspection in January 2024.
The home prides itself on its ethos around ‘Giving Young Lives A Chance To Grow’.
We believe all children should have a happy and cherished childhood and at Alexanders House they are guaranteed this opportunity.
The home has a particular passion and belief that empowering children and young people will equip then with skills for life.
Alexanders House offers a safe and nurturing environment in times of breakdown and crisis.
Our home accepts referrals on a national basis. We stringently consider the individual needs and compatibility of the child and young person in our home to ensure that they are safe, cared for and happy.
Our staffing ratio is compliant with national guidelines and individual children's needs.
We offer a very bespoke service which places a huge emphasis on the emotional development and well-being of the children and young people in our care.
