Alexanders House offers a personal and stable environment for our children and young people no matter what challenges they may be facing.Our staff have decades of experience working with children of all ages and backgrounds, no mountain too high for us, we never give up an anyone. Our Facilities
We pride ourselves on our child centered environment.
Our bedrooms are large with access to a TV/DVD player. Children have access to use a computer for homework etc. Each room is equipped with as desk for homework activities as well as ample storage space. Children will be allowed to personalise their rooms if they wish.
The promotion of healthy eating is very important, but we also understand the needs for a treat now and then!
The home has a large communal living room as well as dining area.
There is a newly built games rooms with pool table, large tv and music system.
Internet access, Disney Plus, Netflix accounts for the children.
There is private outside rear garden which is lovely in the summer and a nice retreat for quiet time and privacy.
The property is equipped with two bathrooms and two toilets.
The home has great community links and promotes leisure activities. There are a lot of local sports clubs, music groups, community centres, leisure centres, activity groups and volunteering groups nearby for children and young people to access.
The home has strong links with local schools and education authorities.
At Alexanders House we like the children to feel part of a family so we often have nights where we go bowling, to the cinema, sports events, etc.
There are always a minimum of 2 staff on shift at all times so children can feel supported at all times and there is always someone to help!
There are structured routines around meal times, bed times, and curfew times on school days and weekends.
We promote independence with the children so there is flexibility in terms of travel arrangements and visiting relatives.
